Once again the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is running a winter birdwatch, enlisting the help of teachers and students to count birds visiting the school grounds. If your school is taking part, let us know!
Taking part is as easy as 1,2,3
1. Register! – Register today, and the RSPB will send you a fantastic pack with everything that you need to take part in Big Schools’ Birdwatch. All of the resources are differentiated to support curriculum learning and are available in Welsh.
2. Get counting – Get counting in your school grounds! The free pack includes helpful ID resources, handy survey sheets plus everything you need to know to get your RSPB Wild Challenge award.
3. Submit your results – Submit your results online. It’s easy to do with your class interactively on the whiteboard. The RSPB really want to know what you see, even if you see nothing at all.
More information is available on the RSPB website here.
Watch out also for the Big Garden Birdwatch at the end of the month!
