July Nature Events in Boston Manor Park

July Events

There is a wonderful range of wildlife and conservation activities available each month in Boston Manor Park, including Bat Walks, Woodland Adventure play, and Earthwalks, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature, or simply have some outdoor fun with family and friends. More details are available here.

Wednesday 13 July, 9 – 10.15pm – Bat Walk, meet in Boston Manor Park car park. It’s London Rivers Week, so we’re organising a special bat walk along the canal and river at the bottom of the park to discover if and what species of bats feed and thrive in this habitat and why. All ages welcome, no booking required. We’ll meet in the car park at 9pm. We will leave the car park at 9.10pm. We’ll head down to the canal first, stopping by the closed pedestrian bridge where I will do the short introductory talk at 9.15pm. On our walk, we’ll use bat detectors to see if we can spot the bats and identify the species.

Call Vanessa on 07816067883 if you can’t find us or running late. You might want to bring a torch to light your way when leaving the park, but it’s not a requirement.

Monday 18, 25 July, 10 – 11.00am – Toddler and Parent Woodland Adventure Play. For under 5s. All children must be accompanied by adult. Join us for nature and adventure play. Each week has a different theme, week 1: bugs and mud, week 2: Colour, week 3: Birds, week 4: Music. Free session – resources are limited, please email bostonmanorpark@hounslow.gov.uk to book your place or you could be disappointed if you turn up on the day and we are full. You will need to turn up on time if you have booked, as we will accept people turning up on the day if spaces are available.

Sunday 24 July, 11am – 12pm, Earthwalk, meet on the main lawn by the Manor House. Suitable for adults and older children 10 years and up. Join Vanessa for an ‘earthing’ experience to connect you more closely to nature through fun, guided activities. Some mobility required, you as you will need to be able to sit on the ground for some parts of the Earthwalk. Be prepared to join in, have fun and tap into new ways to see and experience our environment. Session is free, but places are limited. Please email bostonmanorpark@hounslow.gov.uk to book your place.

Tuesday 26 July, 9-10pm – Bat Walk, meet on the main lawn by the Manor House. All ages welcome, no booking required. Join us for an evening walk around the lake and woodland to spot the bats of Boston Manor! After a short introductory talk, we’ll use bat detectors to look for these fascinating creatures in the park and see if we can identify what species they are.
