Launch of mural design competition for Ealing’s 11-18 year olds

In partnership with Ealing Broadway, ActForEaling is delighted to announce the latest addition to #EalingSewnUp – our Ealing wide sustainable fashion programme! This competition is aimed at all secondary school age young people in the borough.

We are calling for Ealing’s young people to submit design ideas for a brand-new mural in Ealing Broadway. The winners will have the incredible opportunity to paint their mural, with the help of expert street artists, Paint Your Planet.

Andrew Rollings, Centre Director at Ealing Broadway said, “Ealing Broadway is committed to supporting a more sustainable community and Ealing Sewn Up’s project really reflects how important young people in our community are to a net zero future. Through our sponsorship, local secondary school pupils behind the winning design will be taught how to paint their design on to a wall in Ealing Broadway by expert street artists. We’re very excited to help facilitate this fantastic project and help make a difference for future generations. Thanks to our LoveNotLandfill clothing donation point too, everyone can contribute to sustainable fashion.”

Please share this exciting opportunity with the young people in your life. We have top tips on mural design from Paint Your Planet and some ideas for sustainable fashion habits. You can also check out our learning resources page to discover more about why sustainable fashion really matters.

Deadline for entries is 11:59pm Sunday 23 October. Click here to learn more.
