Bulb planting season is upon us, and Friends of Turnham Green have been busy at work planting bulbs for next year’s Spring.
Last weekend, the group organised a community bulb planting session which was a great success. With the sun on their side, over 50 volunteers attended the session and got round to planting an incredible 6,000 bulbs. The group managed to plant an array of bulbs, including tulips, narcissus and galanthus nivalis to name a few.
Check out their website to see pictures of all the action that took place at the event.
Friends of Turnham Green also intend to host another bulb planting session in November so keep posted on their website and socials for further details on how to get involved.
If you’re looking for ways to connect with nature this winter, why not consider organising your own bulb planting event? We’d love to hear what you get up to!
