Ealing Council collects Food waste weekly on the scheduled collection day. This includes residents of Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall. For full details go to Recycling in Ealing.

If you live in a flat above a shop, or in an estate you will need to use either the mixed clear sack recycling service, or you will have communal recycling facilities. Ealing Council are working to upgrade the communal recycling services to help you to recycle more. Check your recycling services to find out what is available to your property.

For your food waste caddy, you can line your food waste bin with newspaper or a compostable bag. This will help prevent smells and stops food waste sticking to the inside of your bin. Do not use plastic bags to line your food waste bins as this means you cannot recycle them. You can request a large food waste caddy from Ealing Council.
