Join the Acton Electrical Repair Party on 11 January

Book your place on the Acton Electrical Repair party to for help fixing your electrical item on Saturday 11 January, booking essential and places limited. You can bring one of your slow or broken electronic devices to the Acton Repair party and they will fix them FREE.

Thanks to Ealing Council for arranging the Acton Electrical Repair Party in Acton. The event is alongside of the Acton Reduce and Recycle hub on Saturday 11th January 2024 at St Marys Acton Church on The Mount, High Street, Acton, W3 9NW. Booking essential for electrical repair and Ealing Clothes repair is drop in between 12.30 and 3 pm.

Repair with the fixing factory

The Restart project will be on site at St Mary’s Church with 45 min appointment slots to help you fix your small electricals. The appointments are by pre booking only, 1 item per appointment.

Electrical Repair

Bring along to Acton Electrical Repair Party for repair the following (electrical only):

  • Small Household Electrical Appliances that you can carry including kettle, toaster, blender, alarm clock, lamp, small portable vacuum cleaners or hairdryer
  • IT and other Home Equipment such as games console controls, remote controls, keyboard, laptop, speaker or radio

Please note the fixers will not repair:

  • Phones/tablets as they don’t have the specialist equipment needed. Plus there are many great repair businesses already doing this. Look at these recommended repairers https://londonrepairs.org/
  • Laptop screens if no replacement has been brought to the event
  • Large battery packs, for example e-bikes, scooters, hoverboards – they hold a large fire risk.
  • Microwaves as they are extremely high voltage and could have potentially carcinogenic insulation (beryllium).
  • Power tools or high-wattage electricals.

Activities at Reduce and Recycle Hub

Alonside this Electrical Repair Party is the January Reduce and Recycle hub on Saturday 11 January at St Marys Acton.
