Apply for Ealing grant funding for carbon lowering projects

Community organisations can apply for grant funding to support projects that will reduce your carbon emissions through Ealing Council Community Climate Grants programme. Applications are can be made up to Friday 31 January 2025.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for eligible community organisations. The council will be prioritising the community organisations that are offering warm spaces for the first round of grant funding.

Project ideas for funding grants you could apply for include:

• Energy saving projects such as installing double glazing,  LED lighting, light sensors, solar panels and/or insulation. Services such as Energy advice surgeries
• Transport: project that enable cargo bike delivery replacing motor vehicles or facilitates low-carbon transport and installs  bicycle parking
• Waste: Projects which address waste minimisation implement schemes that reduce food waste, encourage and teach repair and reuse or establish a Library of Things

By implementing these projects, these organisations can lower their carbon emissions, which will then will contribute to Ealing Council net zero 2030 target.

Exclusions: The grants will not cover a community organisation’s day-to-today costs, such as, but is not limited to rent, bills, administration costs and staffing costs.

Organisations that qualify for grants
Your organisation will need to be able to demonstrate that you work for the public benefit and are a not-for-profit organisation. You need to be based or predominantly active in the borough of Ealing.

If you are one of these organisations and have a project that will reduce carbon emissions, then apply for a Ealing Community Climate Grants. These grants are not for open for businesses, so if you are a business, please DO NOT apply. They are looking for applications aimed to help Ealing borough’s net zero 2030 target .

Once you have completed your form please submit this by email to: climateaction@ealing.gov.uk by Friday 31 January 2025, attaching any accompanying evidence.

After you have Applied

The Ealing Council Climate & Action Team will contact you if they need to ask you for more information. 

They will let you know in April 2025 if your application was successful. You will not be able to appeal the decision.
