Deadline for schools extended for Biodiverse Garden Awards

Extended deadline to champion biodiverse gardens in Ealing schools

Great news for all of Ealing’s schools and their budding gardening gurus to win some cash prizes.

The deadline for schools has been extended for the Ealing Biodiversity Awards for Gardens and Green Spaces Award!

***The new deadline for schools is now Friday 5 June.***

Pupils reconnect with nature

Debbie Fogarty from Cultivating Ealing commented, “The schools category in this competition is always so inspiring. The judges are always impressed by how much pupils learn from their school gardening activities. For many pupils, a plant pot in school is their first chance to get their hands into a pile of soil and see how plants grow. This award celebrates all that Ealing schools are achieving in reconnecting young people with nature, ultimately nurturing a passion that can last a lifetime.

We welcome all entries from all primary, nursery and special schools, whether it’s a small windowsill of plants growing from seeds or an urban veg patch – every bit of educational nature should be celebrated.”
