It’s back – A screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing for Ealing’s Climate Action week

We had a very successful screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing film earlier this year, and are repeating the event for Ealing’s Climate Action Week in September.

We will be showing the film at Percival House on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 from 5.30pm. There will be refreshments and a chance to discuss the film with the other attendees afterwards. You can book a free ticket on Eventbrite here.

What is the People’s Emergency Briefing about?

In November 2025, ten of the UK’s leading experts invited Members of Parliament, politicians, and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media, to listen to a series of presentations on the implications of climate and nature breakdown on our national security. The People’s emergency briefing film captures those briefings, and presents the findings in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings in communities across the UK.

The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy, and it did so on the public record. Its purpose is to demonstrate what a clear, evidence-led national emergency briefing could look like and why it is needed.

The film sets out the risks facing the nation – and the credible, positive responses available – it is hoped that sharing the findings in this way will help build an irresistible call for the Government to stage a televised emergency briefing, the essential first step towards the WW2-scale response now required.

Why attend the People’s Emergency Briefing?

The People’s Emergency Briefing film is a fantastic way to consider the challenges that Britain faces due to the climate and ecological emergencies, and the solutions that exist for us to overcome them. The screening is also an opportunity also to meet others concerned about the effects of climate change and forge new connections and friendships.
