From October 25th, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) will be expanding up to, but not including, the North and South circular roads. The ULEZ covers eastern parts of the Ealing borough, including Park Royal, Acton, Chiswick and Ealing Common and up to the north circular. The majority of cars will be able to drive for free. Its free to drive for the 4 out of 5 vehicles in the ULEZ zone. (87% travelling in the zone already meet the ULEZ standards). Plus if you walk, scoot, cycle, hire an e-scooter or take public transport you won’t need to make any changes.
Drivers of the most polluting diesel and petrol vehicles will be a charged a daily fee for driving in the zone (estimated 1 out of 5 vehicles). check if your vehicle meets emissions and safety standards TFL ULEZ vehicle check. This will clean up the air for 3.8 million more people than the current central ULEZ, which in its first ten months reduced roadside Nitrogen Dioxide by 44%.

Mums for Lungs and Better Ealing Streets have put up posters and banners around the borough in support of the ULEZ expansion.
