Come along to Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre for their quarterly FREE sustainable fashion clothes swap pop-up event on Saturday 20th May from 10 am to 4 pm – and your invited! In partnership with eco-fashion non-profit campaign Love Not Landfill,
Did you know that everything you wear has an impact on our future on our planet? There is so much to learn about sustainable fashion, especially about how our choices can have a huge effect on the water, air, land, climate and people around the world. Have a look at our EalingSewnUp project focused on sustainable fashion.
The pop-up ‘Clothes Swap Shop’ is here to help you give away your unloved clothes and find donated gems on our rails. Clothes swaps or swishes is a great way to get some fresh clothes in your wardrobe and save your old clothes being wasted.
And that’s not all! Ealing Repair Café will be on hand to offer advice and teach you how to mend your clothes at the Clothes Swap Shop from 11am-2pm. Bring along your mending pile for advice and they and help you get started on mending your favourite clothes.
Want to do your own clothes swap?
Clothes swaps are a great event for your community and can be done with a group of friends or community group. For more advice go to How to run your own sustainable fashion event. Our West London Waste Authority also lends out clothes rails, hangers and tokens to help setting up an event easier. See their 5 step guide to swishing (clothes swapping) for more details and contact details.
