Eating our Way to Extinction December Film Event and Sustainable food discussion with University of West London

Join us on 1st December 2023 for a screening of the compelling movie “Eating Our Way to Extinction,” which delves into critical themes such as the environmental impact of animal agriculture, deforestation, and the interconnectedness of environmental, health, and economic issues.

This event will be hosted at University of West London campus in Ealing, with the aim of bringing our community together to explore these topics and spark meaningful change. All are welcome. Booking via Eventbrite – link here.

  • 6.30 PM – 7.00 PM: Registration
  • 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Movie Screening – ‘Eating Our Way to Extinction’
  • Weston Hall will transform into a cinema for this enlightening documentary.
  • 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM: World Café-Style Discussion Groups
  • Engage in small group discussions, nourished by refreshments, focusing on practical solutions and innovative ideas.
  • Plenary Sharing: Share insights and ideas from the discussions.

The event is being organised by a partnership of UWL, Ealing Transition, Ealing Food Partnership and ActForEaling. The showing will be followed by cafe table style discussion to explore ideas for what we can do together within our own community to address this threat.

We expect the audience to represent a wide range of interests and relationships towards food, including food businesses, hospitality and food students, community groups, educators and concerned individuals, and look forward to an engaging discussion.
