Free Green School Network explains how to set up a school garden in 2024

The hugely popular Green School Network returns in 2024 to talk school gardening with Ealing’s school eco-leads at 3:45pm on Tuesday 23 January.

School eco-leads can still sign up to attend by following the instructions below. (Please share this article with anyone who would be interested in attending this meeting.)

With over 50 Ealing schools signed up to the Network, this termly, virtual event is rapidly turning into the place to go when it comes to finding practical climate inspiration for schools.

To kick off 2024 (and to give schools plenty of preparation time before the growing season begins) the Green School Network will be sharing how-to tips, funding ideas and case studies on how to set up a school garden. Ealing Council and ActForEaling have invited a fabulous panel of experts with local knowledge and practical experience on how to get pupils digging, planting and harvesting in school.

What can I expect from the session?

  • Get inspiration from other schools with a school case study
  • Learn about new funding available to schools
  • Get an update on special ‘green’ events and weeks, and learn how to get involved
  • Opportunity to share ideas and problem solve together

Who should attend?

The network is aimed at anyone that works in an Ealing School and has responsibility for the school’s climate action plan/eco strategy. This includes:

  • Eco or sustainability leads
  • PSHE leads
  • Geography leads
  • Caretakers
  • Members of SLT
  • School governors

How can I sign up?
