Bluebells at Perivale Wood Saturday Open days

Get your tickets for the beautiful and breathtaking  Bluebells at Perivale Wood public open days on Saturday 20th April and Saturday 27th April. There are morning and afternoon sessions.

Selbourne Society overseas Perivale Wood which is one of Britain’s oldest private nature reserves and a bird sanctuary.

In April, we all get to enjoy the bluebells in bloom with these Public Open Days at Perivale Wood. These open days support the Selborne Society‘s efforts to conserve this beautiful urban nature reserve and you get to walk through the oakwoodland and see the beautiful bluebells in flower throughout the wood.

With a new route this year, you will take in even more of the bluebell spectacle. Tea and cakes will be on sale. Plus jam and crafts made from wood from the reserve.

Location: Rear of 36 / 38 Sunley Gardens, Perivale, UB6 7PE

Perivale Wood

Made up of 27 acres with a rich variety of habitats. These including ancient mixed oak woodland, pasture land, damp scrub, five ponds and two small streams, Perivale wood is worth a visit.

There is a great variety of animals and plants. These include:

  • 600 species of fungi
  • 544 species of moths
  • 24 species of trees
  • 115 species of birds, of which 40 breed regularly
  • Approximately 4 million flowering bluebells.

At the reserve there is excellent opportunities for observation, conservation and education.
