Ealing Wildlife Group are raising money for their Ealing Harvest Mice reintroduction project. Can you sponsor a mouse for just £10?
The harvest mice project has been running for three seasons. It’s part of the ‘Rewilding Ealing’ initiative. However, the project has run out of funds for ongoing running costs and needs your help.
The harvest mouse project received wonderful support from donations, project partners at Ealing Council and Friends of Horsenden. Plus many others helping out or donating money when they can.
Harvest Mice released at Perivale Wood Local Nature Reserve
Most recently they received a round of funding from the Mayor’s Rewild London Fund awarded to the project in conjunction with the Selborne Society at the latest reintroduction site, Perivale Wood. This featured on the BBC, Perivale Wood: Harvest mice reintroduced after 45 years.
Over 150 harvest mice were reintroduced to Perivale Wood Local Nature Reserve in West London after a 45-year absence.

‘Bringing Harvest Mice Back to Ealing’ is a Rewild London Fund project by The Selborne Society, delivered in partnership with Ealing Wildlife Group and London Wildlife Trust and made possible with funding from Amazon’s Right Now Climate Fund and the Mayor of London.
The funding for Perivale has improved habitats at the reserve for Harvest Mice and other wildlife and equipped us with a wonderful new eco lab breeding facility at Horsenden Farm.

Ealing Harvest Mouse Reintroduction fundraiser
The Harvest mice rewilding project needs funding for the day to day running costs. These include housing, cages, equipment and bedding. Also high quality food is needed to keep producing large numbers of vigorous, healthy mice. All these are a significant expense and need more funding for this, so please contribute what you can.
They are asking you to sponsor an Ealing harvest mouse for just £10 to keep the project running. You can sponsor as many mice as you like, perhaps one for each member of your family? You can come along on any of of their release events to release your very own mouse.
