Are you looking for an interesting volunteer opportunity where you get to learn and share your climate knowledge and support primary school climate awareness? Ever considered delivering climate action workshops in a local primary school?
Climate Ed is a charity that trains volunteers to deliver an engaging climate change programme. The programme inspires children and their families to take action. The programme is fully-resourced and great fun to deliver. Climate Ed is there is support you and become a workshop facilitator volunteer.
If you’re a student looking for teaching experience, perhaps an employee with some volunteering hours? Or a retired teacher missing the classroom (but not the admin!)? How about channelling that energy into preparing the next generation for a greener future?
Climate Ed will provide you with two hours of training. They will ensure you have all the correct safeguarding education and certification (including a DBS check). You will be supplied with detailed lesson plans (even a script if necessary) so you can inspire Ealing pupils (Yrs 4-6) to be more climate confident and able to help their community become more sustainable.
ActforEaling also has their own School sustainability resources to help staff and volunteers in school. Ealing schools are also connecting through Green schools network.

Primary school climate awareness programme
ClimateED is offering free education to children about climate change and carbon literacy. They encourage children in London to become climate leaders and support primary school climate awareness.
If you are:
- Are knowledgeable about climate change
- Keen to share your knowledge with others
- Able to inspire children to inspire their families to reduce their carbon footprints
- Enjoy interacting with children and answering their questions
- Can spare up up to 5 hours
