Last year’s School uniform Event
In summer 2023, Ealing Broadway hosted the free Preloved School Uniform store. They were overwhelmed with generous donations including brand-new uniforms, school ties and bags with any damaged items added to the Love Not Landfill clothes bank for recycling.
The beautifully presented store was open for a total of 10 days, we received 10,242 donations and 2,398 parents participated; preventing approximately 2.27 tonnes of clothing going to landfill. The store was managed by British Land, service partner volunteers and paid-for event staff.
As well as helping people during the cost-of-living crisis and recycling surplus school clothing, the Preloved School Uniform store was all about the community supporting each other – it was your donations that made the event such a success. As one father explained: “Thank you forever for this. I found my boy some football boots now he will be able to play.”
