ActOne Cinema’s next Climate Emergency screening is the film “I Could Never Go Vegan” screening on Sunday 21 July 2024 at 2pm. This is followed by a Question and Answer session with the director and producer, Thomas Pickering. The film is a well-researched, “thoughtful, provocative, ultimately persuasive”. The documentary is about the meat and dairy industries, veganism and animal rights, with “approachable narration and well-presented information”. As the maths on meat-production just doesn’t add up to a healthy planet. Eight-three percent of all arable land is used to grow food to feed animals. This will only account for 18 percent of our calorie intake.
