In Ealing over 30% of car journeys are less than 2 miles. For short journeys, e-cargo bikes are by far the best and often the most time efficient way to move large or heavy items. A network of e-cargo bikes has the potential to transform local areas. They make areas safer and more pleasant to live and work in. This is due to a reduction in:
- CO2 emissions
- Noise pollution
- Stationary motor vehicles that take up valuable space on our streets.

The arrival of the e-cargo bike is so exciting. I have tried a cargo bike and love the flexibility it gives you by being able to transport large items. I love it gives another option for local residents and businesses to move around larger items around the borough at a great price at only £5 per hour.
