Grove Farm butterflies and moths walk on 5 July

Come for a walk in nature with Martin Smith, nature expert, in Grove Farm as he searches for butterflies and moths. Summer is here so join Friends of Grove Farm on a guided walk with Martin Smith, a former Ealing Park Ranger.

This will be a 1-2 hour (dependent of weather) gentle walk. Regrettably it is not suitable for wheelchair or buggy access or those with severe walking difficulties as there are steps, uneven and slippy paths and some short uphill stretches. Wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. The walk will take place in all weathers except the most extreme (i.e. weather that is a health and safety threat). If they do need to cancel due to the weather they will e-mail you the day before.

There are 25 places available so booking is essential.

About Grove Farm

Grove Farm is an 8-hectare Local Nature Reserve in Greenford in the London Borough of Ealing. It was declared as a nature reserve in 2002 by Ealing Council, which owns and manages the site.

The site has ancient woodland, and woodland flower species, while trees include the wild service tree. Plant species include welted thistle, hairy violet, pepper saxifrage and adders tongue fern.

There is a circular path, and there is access from Whitton Avenue West, Dimmock Drive and Lilian Board Way. You can find out more and join Friends of Grove Farm via our website or Facebook group or Instagram.
