It’s back! The Biodiverse Garden Awards is now in its third year. This award is all about encouraging and celebrating residents that garden for biodiversity as well as beauty. No matter the size of the space, from a window sill to a front garden to a community space. Every plant, water station and patch of wilderness matters.

Planting for biodiversity

Each year the Biodiverse Gardens Awards sees locals discovering the joys of adding small water sources or planting pollinator-friendly flowers or leaving a grassy corner to go wild. With more and more homes joining this natural approach to gardening, as a community, Ealing is creating a valuable corridor for nature to flourish.

Nature benefitting residents

As nature flourishes, so do people! There is a tonne of research consistently proving the value of nature to human happiness and health. There are so many benefits of being in nature. The physical exercise, the natural chemicals plants give off, the natural calm the colours and patterns of nature have on our brains and of course the sense of wellbeing making Ealing a greener and healthier place.
