ActForEaling is helping residents save money and reduce waste through a series of events for free school uniform in August. From Monday 17th August to Saturday 29th August 2026, families can get good quality free school uniform. It will help to reduce back-to-school expenses while giving clothes a longer life. You can also donate old school uniform at drop off points around the borough.
Helping families and reducing waste
The ActforEaling School Uniform project makes it easy for families to access the essential uniform they need. By getting this uniform, families avoid the financial burden of buying new items. Set up in August 2025 the project has passed on hundreds of items of school uniform. Through reusing school uniform, families help to reduce clothing waste. It keeps usable clothing in circulation for longer. We have a drop off point in 6 out of 7 towns of the borough, two uniform hubs to pick up items in Acton and Greenford. Plus plans to set up more.
The project welcomes both donations and collections of school uniform. Families can donate outgrown uniform, take items they need, or do both. Available items include branded and unbranded primary and secondary school uniform. Plus sportswear, footwear, rucksacks and school bags, depending on donations received.

- Tuesday 18 August: Perceval House, The Atrium (Uxbridge entrance), 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL, 11am–3pm
- Wednesday 19 August: Perceval House, The Atrium (Uxbridge entrance), 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL, 11am–3pm
- Thursday 20 August: Perceval House, The Atrium (Uxbridge entrance), 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL, 11am–3pm
- Friday 21 August: ReActon, W3 8DJ, 11am–2pm
- Monday 24 August: ReActon, W3 8DJ, 11am–2pm
- Tuesday 25 August: Perceval House, The Atrium (Uxbridge entrance), 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL, 11am–3pm
- Wednesday 26 August: Perceval House, The Atrium (Uxbridge entrance), 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL, 11am–3pm

- Saturday 29 August: Southall Manor House Cafe, The Green, Southall UB2 4BJ, 11am–12 noon

Donate Your Outgrown Uniform
ActforEaling is always looking for donations of clean, good-quality school uniform. Branded and unbranded items from Ealing schools are especially welcome, along with sports kits, shoes, bags and clothes hangers. Donations help support local families while reducing waste and promoting reuse across the borough.
