About this event
During the Covid19 pandemic, School Streets grew exponentially across London. With the necessary secondary legislation recently laid before Parliament to allow for cameras to enforce School Streets outside London, Mums For Lungs hope to see many more schemes spring up across the country later in the year. Join the discussion if you’re interested in having a School Street implemented at your school.
Speakers include:
Lynsey McGarvey, Principal Transport Planner at Leeds Council, who will give an update on School Streets in Leeds and how the changes to the Traffic Management Act will impact the scheme in Leeds.
You can also hear from a parent who has successfully campaigned for a School Street, and who can give advice on how to engage your school and community, and mobilise support for the scheme.
There will be a Q+A session at the end.
