Gunnersbury Park & Museum are calling for you to have your say on a chosen community project as part of the recently launched Community Choice initiative.
The Community Choice initiative is an opportunity for you to choose a project, funded from the profits of events held at Gunnersbury, that will bring a direct benefit to the local community.
In 2022 Gunnersbury embarked on their biggest programme of events yet. Tens of thousands of people visited the area – whether bringing the family for a day out with dinosaurs, to listen to award-winning music artists or enjoy immersive cinema.
During the summer, Gunnersbury pledged that a percentage of the profits from these events would be directed back to the local community. That’s where the Community Choice initiative was born.
The Gunnersbury Team have narrowed down three projects for you to choose from. These are:
- Project One: Providing local schools who would otherwise miss out with bursaries to attend school sessions
- Project Two: Making Gunnersbury more inclusive with sensory learning equipment added into the playground
- Project Three: Planting new hedgerows to bring new habitats to the park
How long do I have to vote?
The closing date to cast your vote is Tuesday 3 January at 5pm. The winning project will be announced on Wednesday 4 January.
