Need help mending your clothes? Let Ealing Repair cafe teach you how.
Ealing Repair cafe volunteers will teach you how to patch and darn, using hand sewing. At some sessions there is one sewing machine for alterations and mending seams. They run regular monthly meet ups around Ealing, offering help, chat and advice on your clothes mending pile.
Our next meets ups are:
October
- Monday 2 October: Patch, Darn and Natter, The Ealing Project, 1 High Street, Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, London W5 5DB. From 7.30 pm until 9 pm. We ask for a small donation of £3 to cover costs. ** Sewing machine available for fixing seams and suitable mends.
- Saturday, 7 October: Reduce and Recycle Hub, Acton Market 10am -3 pm. Our volunteers will be there to teach you how to mend and fix your clothes. At the hub there will be an opportunity to recycle and reduce by dropping off clothes, toothbrushes, pens, laptops and similar sized small electrical items. - Saturday 7th October: Traid Harrow Clothes Repair Cafe, Greenhill Library Perceval Square, College Rd, Harrow, Greater London, HA1 1GX. From 10am – 2pm
- Saturday 14th October, The Hammersmith Mending Circle, Livat Centre, Kings Street, Hammersmith. From 1pm – 4pm. Please bring 1 item of clothing to practice with.
- Saturday 14th October: Traid Brent Clothes Repair Cafe, Willesden Library, 95 High Rd, London NW10 2SF. From 10.30am – 3pm
- Tuesday 17 October: Patch, Darn and Natter, Northfields Community Library, 255A Northfield Ave, London W5 4UA. From 5.30 until 6.45 pm. We ask for a small donation of £3 to cover costs.
- Saturday, 21st October: Traid Haringey Clothes Repair Cafe, Alexandra Park Library, Alexandra Park Road, Alexandra Park, N22 7UJ. From 10am – 2pm
- Thursday 26 October: Patch, Darn and Natter, Pitzhanger Manor and Art Gallery, Ealing Green, London, W5 5EQ. From 6 pm until 8.30 pm. ** Sewing machine available for fixing seams and suitable mends.
November

- Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th November: Ealing Broadway Clothes Swap, Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, W5 5JY. Sustainable, stylish and seriously good fun – drop off your preloved clothes at our Clothes Swap on Saturday 11th November, pick up some tokens then return on Sunday 12th November to uncover incredible gems to revitalize your autumn and winter wardrobes and find inspired childrens wear for all ages.
