Why create a new regional park?

The Ealing regional park would offer the perfect opportunity to develop a greener, more connected Ealing that is equipped to tackle the climate emergency and would provide a range of other benefits including:

  • Making Ealing a more green and attractive place to live and visit
  • Supporting nature restoration by providing more space for nature rich habitats and potential new species to be reintroduced
  • Increasing carbon storage capacity
  • Providing much needed flood resilience by reducing water run off
  • Encouraging walking, cycling and other fully accessible physical activities
  • Improving air quality
  • Increasing community connections amongst residents, reducing loneliness
  • Improving mental health and residents’ wellbeing
