Free trees for schools in Ealing!*🌳🌳🌳

Attend the next Green School Network to apply for up to 10 free trees to plant in their school grounds.

The Green School Network has linked up with the Ealing Tree Planting team to offer an amazing tree give-away. The network is a collaboration between ActForEaling and the Health Improvement Team. State funded schools in Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall can join the Green School Network to apply for free trees. Further details on the Green School Network.

Natalie from ActForEaling said, “We have spoken to so many schools that want more trees. By collaborating with the Ealing Tree Team, we are doing something that schools really want.”

“Trees bring more nature to pupils which benefits their mental health and wellbeing. Trees also offer shade and cooler temperatures to pupils playing outside in the summer. “

If you know a school that has space for more tree cover please mention to a school staff member. They can register for free to join the next Green School Network at 3:45-5pm on Tuesday 21 May 2024.

The Green School Network hosts free termly online webinars that offer tips, peer to peer learning, expert advice and the latest news about sustainability programmes and grant funding. Each webinar typically includes: expert speakers, a school case study, audience discussion and top sustainability tips. Each session has a specific theme, topics include:

Any Ealing school staff member who is interested in sustainability is welcome to join the Ealing Green School Network! This network is a wonderful community of TAs, PSHE leads, geography leads, eco-club leads, School Business Managers, Deputy Heads, Governors and caretakers. Primary, secondary and SEN schools are all involved, sharing their ideas and asking questions.
