Need help on where to start in repair your clothes? Let Ealing Repair cafe teach you how to mend your clothes
Ealing Repair cafe volunteers will teach you how to patch and darn, using hand sewing at their gatherings around Acton and Ealing. With equipment, fabric scraps and samples, they have all you need to get started.
At some sessions there are sewing machines for alterations and mending seams. All levels of sewing welcome, from beginners to advance, there’s always something new to share or learn. Their volunteers will be on hand to teach you on how to repair your clothes and pick up a darning and patching guide.
Also inspiring are the upcycled clothes projects such as drawstring bags out of t-shirts and draught excluder out of old jeans.
A small donation of £3 is asked for at each session to cover costs.
Ealing Repair cafe also has lots of advice and information on their website so if you can’t make a session, check out Ealing Repair Cafe or Facebook.
