Guided Beaver Safari and Walks by Ealing Beaver Project

Join the Ealing Wildlife Group for a guided beaver safari or walks through the Beaver-transformed Paradise Fields. You will have the exciting chance to spot the Ealing Beaver Project’s reintroduced Beaver family. This a rare opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. Plus you’ll also benefit from the expert insights provided by knowledgeable project leaders.

As with all wildlife experiences, sightings of Beavers are never guaranteed. Nevertheless, the Ealing Wildlife Group employs adaptive strategies to increase the likelihood of an encounter, all while ensuring minimal disturbance to the animals.

What to Expect

Each beaver safari begins with a brief introduction. Afterward, the tour will adapt based on onsite conditions and the latest Beaver activity. Since some off-trail walking may be involved, please come prepared by wearing appropriate waterproof footwear. Additionally, we recommend dressing in muted clothing, preferably in earthy tones (greens, browns, greys, blacks) without bold patterns. Furthermore, we ask participants to avoid using deodorants, perfumes, or colognes, as Beavers have an acute sense of smell.

Moreover, all participants are required to remain respectful and quiet throughout the experience. You may need to stand still for extended periods. Therefore, portable camp chairs are allowed and highly recommended, especially for those who may find standing uncomfortable. If you have binoculars, be sure to bring them along—though we will have some available for sharing.

Please be aware that anyone who disrupts the Beavers or fails to act in their best interest will be asked to leave. Since Beavers are highly sensitive to human presence and loud noises, their welfare is our top priority.

As a native species reintroduced to the area, the Ealing Beaver Project is excited to offer this responsible Beaver-watching experience, providing a meaningful connection to local wildlife.
