Discover Green Respite: Caregiver Sessions at The Dig

Are you a carer? Need some time out? Come along to Carers’ Corner, at The Dig for caregiver sessions. The focus at the sessions are on nurturing caregivers and their connection with nature and the environment.

The Dig is a large green space with an allotment, orchard and inside area which aims to improve access to fresh, seasonal and home-grown fruit and vegetables. The Dig and these sessions are managed by Cultivate London. Further information on the Dig in this video:

These caregiver sessions at The Dig aim to facilitate respite for carers. The Dig also lets more access green spaces and increases social connectedness.

Are you a carer?

If you provide unpaid help or support to a relative, partner, friend or neighbour who could not manage without you, then you are a carer. Recognising you are a carer is the first step to getting the help and support you may need in your caring role.

At The Dig, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of gardening activities. Such as activities like planting seeds, tending to vibrant blooms and harvesting fresh produce.

Need respite care?

Respite care allows those who care for others to take a break from their caring responsibilities. By taking respite care it lets you take time out to look after yourself and helps stop you becoming exhausted and run down.
