Join Grove Farm Ealing Walk on April 5

Come for a walk around Grove Farm Ealing with nature expert Martin Smith, on Saturday, 5 April. Spring is here so you will be able to spot the spring flowers as you walk around Grove farm. You will be on the lookout for wood anemones as well as other natural sights of flowers and wildlife spotted on the way.

Friends of Grove Farm arranged Martin Smith, a former Ealing Park Ranger is leading this Grove Farm walk. You will go in search for the signs of spring. At Grove Farm Ealing Local Nature reserve look out for one of our star features: the largest patch of wood anemones in Ealing. Wood anemones are beautiful spring flowers which are slow to spread. This large patch is a good indicator this is part of ancient woodland.

The walk will be a 1-2 hour (dependent of weather) gentle walk. Sadly, it is not suitable for wheelchair or buggy access or those with severe walking difficulties. Along the walk, there are steps, uneven and slippy paths and some short uphill stretches.

On the day wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather. The pathways may be muddy in parts. The walk will take place in all weathers except the most extreme (i.e. weather that is a health and safety threat). If they do need to cancel due to the weather they will e-mail as soon as they can.

There are 25 places available and booking is essential.

Meet by the Whitton Avenue entrance to Grove Farm. Google Maps location
