Libraries a great shared resource

Libraries play a significant role in environmental sustainability. They promote the sharing of books, digital media, and other resources, minimizing the need for individual purchases and reducing waste. By borrowing rather than buying, libraries reduce the demand for manufacturing and transportation of new items, thus lowering energy consumption and emissions. This also reduce carbon footprints by sharing resources and provide free digital access. So by giving access to both books and e-books, online journals, and databases, reducing the need for printed materials and lowering paper consumption. They also provide community education, and recycling initiatives.

Fostering a culture of borrowing, sharing, and respecting resources, libraries play an key part in our sustainable future. So support our local Ealing libraries for all the free and accessible resources they provide us, including this great reading challenge and the related activities.
