Ealing Transition is participating in the Ealing Climate Week with walking events on 27th and 28th September 2025. The Ealing Transition walk will showcase their projects around South Ealing and how they have made Ealing greener and more sustainable.
Ealing Transition Initiative has been active in Ealing since 2009, holding over 70 public events. These include films, discussions, talks and community planning events. The aim has been to inform and enable local community members to feel empowered to take practical action. This actions are in our own neighbourhoods and address climate concerns. This will help create the transition to a more sustainable future.
The Ealing Transition walk will follow the story of the development of the current projects. These include energy saving, schools solar generation, food growing skills, bee keeping, air quality improvement, re-skilling and repair events. Plus nature and biodiversity restoration and wider community engagement in climate action.
The Transition movement is an international movement of communities coming together to reimagine and rebuild our world. Since 2005, thousands of groups have emerged in villages, cities, universities and schools in more 50 countries. Transition is about people taking practical action together in their local area to address the big challenges they face. Between us, we are building a more equal, sustainable and democratic future.
