Climate Science at Ealing’s Climate Week – your views are needed

ActForEaling is planning a round table discussion at Ealing’s Better Living Climate Week in September on a topic relating to climate change and biodiversity.  We would love to hear what you think might be a topic of interest for the session on climate science. Click here to access the poll and let us have your view.

We are thrilled to have speakers from the Grantham Institute in West London to come and talk to us. The Grantham Institute is based at the South Kensington campus of Imperial College, London, and provides research, policy, innovation support and education relating to climate change and environmental issues.

In their own words the Grantham Institute acts to “drive forward discovery, convert innovations into applications, train future leaders and communicate academic knowledge to businesses, industry and policymakers to help shape their decisions”.

You can find out more information about the Grantham Institute here.

We would really like to hear from ActForEaling members about any specific topics that you would like to hear about and that the Grantham Institute can address. We have created a short poll to capture your views and would really welcome your feedback.  Click here to access the poll.

Topics for discussion can include:

  • Latest climate science: where we are now and what progress is being made
  • What individuals and communities can do to make a real difference
  • The co-benefits of climate action (e.g. cleaner air, healthier lifestyles, stronger communities)
  • Food, farming, and sustainable diets
  • Energy and carbon removal (renewables, storage, future tech)
