Ealing Climate Week – GoodGym Ealing events

GoodGym is participating in the Ealing Climate Week with three events on 20th and 21st September to be active, help protect nature, and clean up Ealing.  

GoodGym, Ealing are a community of people who get fit by doing good. They are a group of runners, walkers, and cyclists who combine regular exercise with helping their communities. When not doing nature based activities for Climate Week, they can also be found supporting older people in Ealing by handling some of their day to day tasks.

Give your old kit new purpose

Date/Time: 20 September 2025, 8.30am to 10.15am

Join GoodGym Ealing and We Run Ealing for a feel-good, climate-conscious activity that combines fitness, recycling, and creativity.  You’ll be collecting unwanted running clothes to donate to Open Southall. This is a brilliant community-led arts, sewing, and textile initiative based in the heart of Southall. Please bring any clean, wearable running gear you no longer need – t-shirts, shorts, leggings, buffs (no shoes, please!) – packed into a backpack you can carry while walking or running. Fun, Exercise & Food Growing – Community Day at Western Road Urban Gardens

Date/Time: 20 September 2025, 10am to 1.00pm

Come for a vibrant and active community day at Western Road Urban Garden! GoodGym Ealing is teaming up with Southall Community Alliance to bring you a morning of fresh air and light exercise. With hands-on food growing at one of Southall’s incredibly transformed green spaces. Whether you’re a regular gardener or just curious, everyone is welcome to drop in and get involved. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in gardening and food-growing tasks. Also enjoy a bit of exercise in a friendly setting; and soak up the atmosphere – with optional refreshments!

Conservation Event at Pear Tree Park

Date/Time: 21 September 2025, 10.30am to 12.00pm

To celebrate Ealing Climate Week, GoodGym are heading to Pear Tree Park. This is an example of urban green space transformation. The park was develop on the site of a former 9-hole golf course next to Perivale Park. You’ll be supporting park improvements alongside local volunteers. Expect good company, physical activity, and a chance to connect with nature – all proven to boost your mood, reduce stress, and support mental wellbeing. What to bring: Gardening gloves (if you have them) and a smile!

Ealing Climate Week

Ealing Climate Week will take place between 20 September and 28 September 2025. It will be home to a variety of different events showcasing how climate action and nature can go hand in hand with benefits such as lower bills and better health.
