Free Dr Bike checks in Ealing 2026: Get Your Bike checked

Get your bikes checked at the free Dr Bike sessions run around the Ealing Borough. It’s important to make sure your bike is safe and roadworthy, especially if it hasn’t been used in a while. These sessions are run by Let’s Ride Southall and funded by Ealing Council. Dr Bike is a free service where mechanics will carry out minor repairs on the spot. They also give advice on how to look after your bike to keep you riding all year round.

Before you ride your bike, to check its roadworthy, its always good to take a couple of minutes to do two checks. The two checks are ABC check and the ‘M’ check from London Cycling Campaign. With these checks mean you can be confident your bike is safe to cycle away.

Dr Bike Lets Go Southall offers bike checks

Mechanics will check your bike to make sure it’s roadworthy. They will make small adjustments and repairs if necessary. This includes tuning your gears, adjusting your brakes or pumping your tyres. They will also be give advice and refer you to a bike shop for anything more serious that can’t be fixed there and then.

Dr Bike free bike checks in Ealing take place on these days, times, dates and locations:

  • Acton Market, The Mount, King Street, W3 9NW (By Morrisons). First Saturday: From 2pm to 5pm: 6 June and 4 July
  • Haven Green, Ealing, W5 2UZ First Saturday, From 10am to 1pm, 6 June and 4 July
  • Hanwell Clock Tower, Uxbridge road, W7 3SP. Second Saturday: From 1pm to 4pm, 13 June and 11 July
  • Horsenden Farm, Horsenden Lane North, Greenford, UB6 7PQ. From 1pm to 4pm Saturday, 18 July   
  • Northolt, Outside St Richard’s Church Hall, Sussex Crescent, UB5 4DR. From 1pm to 4pm. Saturday 20 June
  • Northala Café, 9am to midday at Northala Fields Parkrun (Northala Fields Cafe, Kensington Road), Saturdays: 20 June, 18 July  
  • New Southall, Southall Square, 57-78 High Street, UB1 3DB. Last Saturday: From 2pm to 5pm, 28 March, 25 April
  • Old Southall, Manor House, The Green, UB2 4BJ. Last Saturday: From 10am to 1 pm, 28 March, 25 April
  • West Ealing Farmers Market, Leeland Road, Ealing W13 9HH. Second Saturday: 9am to midday: 13 June

Ealing Council who fund these sessions give updates for the next dates on Free bike repair and advice service.

Dr Bike is free and designed as a drop-in session with no need to book your free bike checks. Pop along with your bike to get a free check at one of the sessions.

Let’s Ride Southall Mechanics Workshop

Let’s Ride Southall Mechanics Workshop is based at the back of the car park of Gurdwara Sri Guru Sabha Southall, 2-8 Park Avenue, Southall UB1 3AG. The workshop is near the Southall Elizabeth Line Station with a red bike on the outside and a large Let’s Ride Southall logo. The workshop can provide general repairs and servicing. Let’s Ride Southall also run free led rides for local residents.

The Mechanics Workshop opening times are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and Saturday, 10am to 1pm. Use contact details above to find out more.
