Ealing Climate Week is back this year, with new and exciting events to help people get involved, save money and lead healthier lives. We’d love the event to be as big as possible, so we’re highlighting some of the activities going on during the week, and how climate action can help you live better while saving the planet.
Better Bills
This year during climate week there will be a daily activity in every borough, hosted by energy companies NPower and LASER, providing practical guidance on how to lower your bills while helping the planet. Not sure if solar panels are right for you, or rent your space? The experts are here to help.
Plus, learn about opportunities to join Ealing Council’s “Switch Together” initiative, which helps residents get cheaper solar panels through the power (no pun intended!) of group buying.
Better Health
Ealing Climate Week offers activities to help you and your family to ditch the car for shorter journeys. Last year, schools around the borough took part in a giant “walking bus” – everyone walking to school together safely and meeting new people – and many will be joining again this year. Why not start out the new school year by coming along or encouraging your child’s school to get involved?
Plus, Greenford Library will be hosting a gardening event with the Young Ealing Foundation on the 26th September if you’re more interested in your food and exercise being a little more down to earth!
Better Spaces
Looking for something more family friendly? Join us for a community climate action event at Pear Tree Park in Perivale, where there will be a host of fun events for everyone. Connect with other climate volunteers and learn about opportunities to get involved, alongside learning more about our furry friends in the borough – bats, hedgehogs, foxes and more!
This mixer will be held on Sunday 20th September, with a community bike ride on the day and an opportunity to learn more about lowering your bills. We’d love to see everyone there!
This is just a flavour of what’s happening in the borough during the week, so why not take some inspiration to host your own event? Find out more on the Ealing Climate Week website.
