Volunteering opportunities with The Friends of Horsenden Hill

The volunteering sessions at Horsenden Farm & Hill are back!

The Friends of Horsenden Hill welcome you to join their friendly group of volunteers, who enjoy being outdoors, to get stuck into a range of conservation tasks on the farm.

No prior experience is needed, you’re welcome to just turn up on the day!

All instructions, tools and kit will be provided, but please bring your own gardening gloves if you have them.

 What will I do?

Tasks vary but you can expect to get stuck into a range of conservation, gardening, veg growing, and site maintenance tasks. This includes:

  • Weeding and planting the flowers, sensory garden and tree nursery
  • Orchard care
  • Tree and hedge planting
  • Woodland management
  • Hedgelaying
  • Bramble bashing
  • Tidying up the driveways
  • Woodchipping the paths, clearing up rubbish on site, painting and light maintenance
  • …and whatever else is needed on the day!
