The Library of Things Ealing is open in Ealing Broadway in partnership with Ealing Council. This is where you can borrow useful household items for DIY, cleaning, gardening, events, entertainment and more for a few pounds per day.
You can register and booking items to borrow from Library of Things Ealing. You’ll can affordably hire useful items like a pressure washer, tile cutter, and even a Nintendo 64, from a few pounds per day.

Around 40 items are available, including a:
- Carpet cleaner
- Jet washer
- Drill
- Sewing machine
- Wall stripper
- Tent
You can rent various items for a small fee and return them after use at Ealing Broadway shopping centre lockers. Ideal for occasional use, the Library is a great way to reduce your impact on the environment by hiring items, rather than buying them and only using them a few times. - Borrow and return it: Collect your Thing from the lockers in Ealing Broadway by logging into the terminal at the lockers. Use it. Then return it to the lockers when you’re done and check it back in using the locker.
- Track your impact: See how much waste you’ve saved from landfill by borrowing instead of buying.
