Newly planted street trees need lots of water during summer months so become a tree watering champion. It’s not an easy life living in a pavement, but your help can make all the difference. So show a local tree a little TLC, by joining Ealing’s Tree Watering Champions initiative.
How to sign up at a Watering champion
- Choose a newly planted street tree on our interactive map, and register to become it’s Watering Champion.
- These trees have already been planted and paid for by Ealing Council as part of their work to green-up your neighbourhood.
- New street trees are usually 5-7 yrs old when planted and respond very well to regular watering.
- By joining the scheme, you will be helping give a local tree the very best start in life.
Your mission if you choose to accept it, is to water your chosen tree once a week, during the summer months, between May and September. Become a Tree Watering Champion and They will remind you with their #WateringWednesday email alerts. Don’t worry if you can’t do it every week, the council is also watering the tree.
Ealing Sponsor a Street Tree
You can also sponsor a tree Ealing Sponsor a Street Tree to be planted outside your house, in your street, or somewhere in your neighbourhood. Ealing Council can also create a new tree pit if there isn’t one at your selected location.
