Join this pleasant five mile walk on Saturday 8th June through Northolt Village to Alperton Canalside. This West London Guided walk organised by Canal & River Trusts will celebrate the beautiful green spaces in our area and connect us to nature.
The walk brings you to the Paddington Arm of the Grand Unions Canal, then follow to Greenford’s Paradise Fields. Then a detour over Horsenden Hill for panoramic views before a stop at Horsenden Farm for coffee at the weekly pop-up bakery. You could opt out at Horsenden Farm and make your way to Perivale Station, or stay with us for the final mile along the canal to Alperton.
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any special equipment. Please wear comfortable footwear and remember to bring a jacket if raining. If you’re travelling from Alperton back to to Northolt at the end of the walk, you can catch bus 297 to Perivale Station for the Central line. The route over Horsenden Hill entails 55m of ascent and paths can be muddy after rain. Toilets are available at Northolt Station, Horsenden Farm and Alperton Sainsbury’s.
