Did you know that every Daisy on your lawn is not just 1 flower, but more than 100?
So put your mower away for May. Then you could carry on with Let it Bloom June. Or enjoy mow-saic months and make varied lawn lengths over your lawn all summer. This will increase biodiversity in your garden and let plants and wildlife flourish.

What is No Mow May?
No Mow May is Plantlife’s annual campaign urging everyone to pack away the lawnmower, let wildflowers and plants to grow freely and help nature. Whether you’re in a city, town or the countryside, it’s super easy to take part.
No lawn is too small. Even the smallest wild patch can provide vital food needed by bees and butterflies. It also connects us with nature and gives it the best start to summer.
Why do we need No Mow May?
Approximately 97% of flower-rich meadows have been lost since the 1930s. They provide vital food and habitat needed by wildlife.
Your garden can help to restore meadow flowers. A healthy lawn with some longer grass and wildflowers helps to tackle pollution. It also benefits wildlife and can lock away carbon below the ground. There are more than 20 million gardens in the UK, so even the smallest grassy patches can add up and deliver enormous gains for nature, people and the climate.
No Mow May is the perfect starting point for summer. Give nature the boost it deserves by getting involved with NoMowMay. Continue with Let it Bloom June and beyond. This is the perfect way to manage your garden for nature all year round.
