Tiny Forests contribute to environmental and human wellbeing. The science behind these surveys are exciting, simple and straightforward. The surveys are simple, so can to be done by communities and people of all walks of life.
Biodiversity Surveys at Tiny Forests
Our biodiversity surveys a variety of groups:
- pollinators, like bees and butterflies
- ground dweller invertebrates, like earthworms.
This survey data will help EarthWatch bring the benefits to more communities. That will lead to helping both people and wildlife thrive together. Earthwatch will talk through their methods, resources and why Tiny Forests biodiversity is important. On the website they will make sure to leave plenty of time for your questions.
No previous experience on the topic is required! You are welcome to watch a pre-recorded Biodiversity training ahead of this session and bring your questions with you. Head to Earthwatch Europe’s YouTube playlist to find the training video. Once you have attended this session you will be ready to head out and start monitoring.
On 17th May – 1st of June 2025, the Tiny Forest Wildlife Count (previously biodiversity week) will be taking place and hoping many of you will take part.
