Nature Hubs Fund: £6,000 Grants for Communities

Want to bring nature closer to your community?

The Nature Hubs Fund is back and now open for applications. This funding is for groups setting up or enhancing a community green space that’s accessible to the public. They are looking to fund projects that increase access to and bring people together in nature, upskill community members, and are committed to reaching audiences beyond those who already access green spaces.

So far this year, they have supported over 125 community nature projects with £630k of funding, helping people connect to local green spaces, share skills and build climate resilience and they are looking for more projects to fund.

The Nature Hubs Fund is in partnership with Starbucks, and all Hubs must be located within 5km of their nearest Starbucks store to encourage connections between stores and projects. Read the full application guidance including eligibility and criteria details here.

What’s on offer

£6,000 in grant funding to eligible groups that want to create or enhance a green space. Project locations must be within 5km of a Starbucks store and have a space that’s regularly accessible to the public.

Nature Hubs Fund

Nature Hubs fund application deadline is 5pm, Friday, 29th November, and they won’t be accepting any applications submitted after this date.

Spending time in nature is good for us. Despite this, a third of people in the UK spend less than an hour a week in nature. What’s more, access to nature is not fairly shared throughout society: we need new spaces, and new ways to engage with it. Community groups have also highlighted common barriers, such as access to funding and educational resources. They value peer-to-peer learning and connections, but there are few avenues available to make it happen. That’s why creating Nature hubs brings nature closer to people and people closer to nature.
